Our Story
A Love Letter to Los Angeles
Los Angeles has given me everything.
I don't mean that lightly. This city — chaotic, sprawling, impossibly beautiful — is the single greatest cultural force on Earth. No city its age holds stories this deep. No city of any age exports its mythology so completely to the rest of the world. Hollywood invented the modern dream. And it did it right here, in these streets, in these buildings, in these hills — and yes, in these cemeteries.
I never tire of learning about this place. It never stops revealing itself to those willing to look and listen.
Ghostlight Guides started during the pandemic, when the town went silent in a way it never has before. No sets. No stages. No work — and especially no work for the young actors, voice artists, and storytellers who had come here the way people always come here: chasing something they couldn't find anywhere else, drawn like moths to a flame.
The pandemic ended. The silence didn't — not entirely. The studios are struggling. Entry paths that used to exist have closed. The onramps to a career in this industry have never been harder to find.
This project is our answer to that.
Ghostlight Guides is not just an audio tour company. It is a declaration that this city's stories deserve to be told by the people who live inside them — real actors, real voices, real human beings who chose art in a world that keeps telling them not to. Every voice you hear in our tours is someone working in Los Angeles. Every tour you take funds that work. Every donation keeps the door open a little longer for someone who just arrived here with a dream and a storage unit full of hope.
We promise you this: we will not stop. We will not stop finding the stories. We will not stop sharing the magic. We will not stop supporting the people who make this city extraordinary — both those still living, and those who left enough behind to haunt us beautifully.
This is a love letter to Los Angeles. We hope you'll sign it with us.

The Lantern Man — your guide through the stories
What is Ghostlight Guides?
Ghostlight Guides is an immersive audio walking tour company based in Los Angeles, California. We produce theatrical-quality audio experiences at LA's most historic locations — beginning at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Each tour is performed by a cast of working Los Angeles actors and voice artists, produced in the style of old radio plays — with drama, character, and presence. Not dry narration. Not a Wikipedia article read aloud. A 25-voice cast bringing the dead back to life in their own words.
Our tours are free to all visitors, always. A portion of every donation supports the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), supporting the entertainment community that makes this city worth visiting.
Ghostlight Guides was founded on the belief that a city's stories should be told by the people who live inside them.
What is a ghostlight?
A ghostlight is the single bulb left burning on a dark theater stage when everyone else has gone home. It keeps the stories alive. It keeps the space ready. Every cemetery, every museum, every landmark has stories most people never hear. We leave the light on for them.
